// PROJECT RECLAIMER
PRIVACY NOTICE
This explains what Reclaimer Hub stores about you, why, who else handles it, and how to have it removed. Questions: admin@reclaimerhub.com.
WHAT WE STORE
- Your account: username, email address, and a scrambled (hashed) copy of your password. We cannot read your password. A login cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days; it is the only cookie we use and it is needed for the site to work.
- Your Halo identity: the Halo ID you link to your account, so ranked results and ratings are matched to you.
- Match data: verified results from our game servers (gamertag, team, score, kills, deaths, map, time). Ratings are calculated from these.
- Matchmaking and social data: your place in the queue, accept and no-show cooldowns, friends, party, lobby chat (kept for a short time and cleared when a queue empties), private match-room chat (kept for about two hours), and your profile settings (bio, country, avatar, visibility).
- Reports: if you report a player, or are reported, we keep the report, the private match chat and server details attached to it, and the admins' decision, so moderation is fair and repeat problems can be seen.
- Admin records: bans, and an audit log of actions taken by admins and moderators. Moderators can see usernames, Halo IDs, reports and queue activity but not email addresses.
WHY
To run accounts, matchmaking, ranked results and moderation for the community. We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising or tracking cookies.
WHO ELSE HANDLES IT
Email (account verification and password reset) is sent through Brevo, which receives your email address and the message. The website and its databases are hosted on a Vultr server in London, UK. The Halo game servers are run by the site owner, and the website and game servers talk to each other over an encrypted private network (Tailscale). When you register or ask for a password reset, a Cloudflare Turnstile check runs in your browser to stop automated sign-ups; Cloudflare receives your IP address and basic browser details for that check. Nightly backups of the databases are kept on the website server for 7 days, so data you delete can remain in those backups for up to 7 days before they are replaced.
DELETING YOUR ACCOUNT
You can delete your account yourself from My Account → Account security. This removes your account, email, password, Halo link, friends, party and profile settings, and ends all sessions.
What stays after deletion:
- Verified match results and the ratings built from them. They are records of games between several players and are kept under the Halo gamertag, not your account.
- Reports about you and admin decisions about them, kept for moderation. Reports you filed keep the text but no longer show your username.
- A short record that your Halo ID belonged to a deleted account (and whether a ban was active). That Halo ID cannot be linked to a new account. This stops deleting and re-registering from being used to avoid bans or sanctions. If you deleted by mistake, ask an admin to release it.
- The admin audit log entry for the deletion.
YOUR RIGHTS
You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or object to how it is used, by emailing admin@reclaimerhub.com. If you are in the UK you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
